General Terms
All prices include VAT (13.5%) and are shown in euros (€) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices and these terms and conditions.
We sell services to both private customers and business customers. Customers are responsible for reviewing the service description and these terms and conditions before making a booking and for notifying us of any errors they may find. An agreement is formed when the customer books a service or accepts an offer. By booking a service, the customer accepts these terms and conditions and is responsible for providing accurate information.
We provide services that take place at a specific date and time. The service will be provided at the date and time specified in the booking.
Customers participating in kayaking activities must be able to swim and be at least 15 years old. Participants under the age of 18 may only take part when accompanied by a guardian or with written permission from a guardian.
Participation in our services is not allowed under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Booking and Payment Terms
The customer pays for the booking using their selected payment method and according to the terms of that payment method. A booking becomes binding when the order or payment confirmation has been sent to the email address provided by the customer.
We use reliable and secure payment service providers. Online payments are processed through MobilePay and Stripe. We do not store bank account or credit card information at any stage of the payment process.
If payment is not successfully completed at the time of booking, the order will not be processed.
We do not accept cash payments.
Payment by Invoice (Corporate and Organisation Customers Only)
Payment by invoice must always be agreed upon in advance. Invoices are based on the offer accepted by the customer and the number of participants confirmed 14 days before the service. An invoicing fee of 10 € per invoice (including VAT 25.5%) will be added. The invoice must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice. Late payments may be subject to additional charges and interest.
Cancellation Policy
Unused services are non-refundable. Services do not have a general right of return.
The cancellation date is the date on which the service provider receives written notice of cancellation through the booking system or by email, and the customer receives confirmation of the cancellation. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the cancellation is submitted in time.
Cancellations by the Service Provider
Ainoa Outdoors Oy reserves the right to cancel a service if it cannot be carried out safely due to weather conditions, other operating conditions, or another unavoidable force majeure event.
In such cases, the customer is entitled to a full refund unless an alternative service arrangement is agreed upon separately.
Cancellations by Private Customers
If a private customer cancels a booking:
Cancellation more than 7 days before the service: 100% refund
Cancellation less than 7 days before the service: no refund
Cancellations by Corporate and Organisation Customers
If a corporate or organisation customer cancels a booking:
Cancellation more than 14 days before the service: 100% refund
Cancellation less than 14 days before the service: no refund
Liability and Insurance
Each participant is responsible for themselves and for their personal belongings during the service. Ainoa Outdoors Oy and its employees are not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of participants’ personal property.
Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with physical activity, kayaking and other outdoor activities and are responsible for arranging their own insurance coverage. We recommend that participants obtain suitable accident, travel, or other comprehensive insurance.
Participants must follow all safety instructions and operational guidelines given by the organiser and guides throughout the service. Failure to follow these instructions may result in removal from the activity if required for safety reasons. In such cases, the participant is fully responsible for any damage they cause.
Ainoa Outdoors Oy and its guides make every reasonable effort to minimise risks associated with the activities. Our guides have the safety and first aid skills required to provide the services.
Ainoa Outdoors Oy maintains liability insurance that covers damage caused by the company's or its employees’ errors, subject to the terms of the insurance policy.
Due to the nature of the activities, customers have a duty to provide relevant information. Participants must inform us in advance of any medical conditions, serious allergies, or other factors that may affect their performance or safety on the water. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate.
Customers participating in kayaking activities must be able to swim and be at least 15 years old. Participants under 18 years of age may only take part when accompanied by a guardian or with written permission from a guardian.
Participation is not permitted under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Damages and Complaints
The service provider is not liable for inconvenience, losses, or costs caused by natural conditions, including insects, animals, difficult terrain conditions, or unexpected weather changes.
We are not liable for any costs, losses, damages, or inconvenience that may arise if equipment breaks down or develops a fault that prevents the service from being carried out as planned.
Customers are responsible for compensating the service provider for any damage they cause to equipment used during the service.
Any complaints should be made as soon as possible after the issue arises. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately or includes a compensation claim, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month of the end of the service.
The service provider aims to process complaints as quickly as possible and no later than one month after receiving them.
If the customer and the service provider cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.
